Immensely popular JIO feature phone has been undergoing further enhancements recently as the Reliance JIO team has been recently rolling out new WIFI hotspot update to its large user base all over India.
Since Reliance JIO launched the budget friendly RS 1500 mobile, Jio phone in 2017 it has been a huge success commercially and has proved to be a profitable venture for Reliance JIO enterprise. This phone offers Rs 49 plan which is the cheapest plan which offers unlimited calls and 1 GB 4G data to its users along with free subscription to apps like Jio music, Jio movies, and Jio TV.
All Jio phone users are entitled with the Jio prime benefits which makes it a very lucrative deal. All these things factored in to make it very popular among the masses of India and has a large user base currently. Ever evolving Reliance JIO has assured its users at the end of last year that it would provide them with the hotspot feature on the feature phones through which one can share the Internet from their phones to other devices using WIFI technology.
The update is steadily being released across all over India and is expected to reach every JIO phone user in a matter of few weeks.
How to check whether your JIO phone got updated?
- Just go to menu then settings.
- In settings, select internet sharing option.
- If an option “WIFI hotspot sharing” is there in the Internet sharing menu then it means that your phone is up to date and you can start using the hotspot services in your handset.
- If a user did not get the above mentioned option yet then the user might have not received the latest update yet.
How to Switch on the hotspot and use it?
In order to start the hotspot one needs to open the “WIFI hotspot sharing” option in Internet sharing tab. Once it starts user will be asked to set-up the hotspot by providing a name to the network, and a strong password. After this one can start using hotspot services by connecting the required devices like smartphone’s, PC’s to the created network.
