On 1st September 2016 Reliance owner Mr. Mukesh Ambani revealed Official Jio plans for prepaid sim & the moto behind offering services at cheapest price point. They have plan to collect over 100 million active users with shortest possible time. Ambani claims to have 90% Jio users by the end of 2017 which seems to be achievable at this pace. Most of the data plans mention above will survive for at least till this year end. Adding to this, students will be getting extra 25% befits for using this service.

Jio 4G Tariffs for Postpaid Sim Card

Postpaid plans start from 149 Rs & goes up to 4999 Rs.

In all plans, you will get free unlimited voice/std calls & roaming. In addition, customers can also enjoy unlimited 4G data at night.

  • Plan 149 : In this tariff, you get 300 MB 4G data + 700 MB Jionet usage. Unlimited sms are not applicable here. User can send maximum 100 Local+national sms via this Jio net plan.
  • Plan 499 : It gives plenty of extra data (4GB) than previous pack. Through Reliance public hotspot, you can consume up to 8GB of data. Plans given below including this have unlimited sms feature.
  • Plan 999 : Get 10 GB data + 20 GB Jionet hotspot usage.

  • Reliance says, we give unlimited 4G night data to customers even with smallest recharge plan. Although it’s true, you might want to know what is running behind the scenes. So the truth is, you only get unlimited data between 2AM to 5AM. Whereas rest of telecom companies, when offer night data, it’s counted between 12AM to 6AM.
  • They are running special plans for students & it gives them 25% extra data. But wait! You can not use at your homes. That data is only available in public Jio wifi zones.
  • Each of the plan is valid for 28 days & not for a month. Nothing weird here! Almost all other companies work on the same model.
  • You can not use Rs 19, 129 & 299 Rs plan for your First ever recharge. It needs to be higher than 299 Rs. But later on, you can recharge with 19 Rs.
